Gilbert L. Wedekind, John F. Dodge
Professor of Engineering Emeritus, Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan,
received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
His extensive research in the fluid and thermal sciences has been supported
by the National Science Foundation and various well-known industrial corporations.
He has had over forty research papers published, holds two U.S. patents,
and has spoken at many conferences. Professor Wedekind has taught thermodynamics
courses for over thirty-five years and been the recipient of a number
of teaching and distinguished faculty awards.
He and his wife, June, have
two grown children: René and Ty. Gil is an ordained pastor and
licensed pilot, and enjoys wilderness backpacking, canoeing, and spending
time with his grandchildren. |
